KTO Miss Flower Spring Review

Writing another blog and this is again Korean-related, it has been a while since I wrote my last blog so here I go...

I am new at giving out reviews so pardon me if ever you see flaws in my reviews, but basically these are my opinions for the video made entitled Miss Flower Spring. And I would actually like to dissect this review into three parts: the music used, cinematography and story-line.

REVIEW:

Music

The music is very relaxing and it is really giving that feel of warm passion of two young people. It makes a person's heart beat. Even though this is a mute skit, both the actions and the music coincided together which pretty much helps the viewer understand the concept of the story itself. The music also give the viewers a youthful feeling and the taste of nature's music.

Cinematography

I am not an expert but the transition was bugging; what I meant with this was the transition of one frame to the other was just so bugging(redundantly), but aside from that, the whole picture was done greatly. The camera movements which emphasizes the scenic view of Korea captured the heart of those scenery. Also, the lighting itself gave the natural and bright beauty that Korea can showcase, not only to its citizens but also to foreigners who are looking for timeless beauties in terms of locations and scenery.

Story line

The video was said be a love story in the language of flowers at the beginning of the video. At first view of the entire video, you could say that it is indeed a love story of the two characters. But as I watched it again, I realized that it does not only revolve around such idea, in fact it may actually be also about the nurturing love of what beautiful scenery can give to to the people.

I would like to actually give off a review on each of the flowers presented in the video and how the video justified Korea's true beauty.

First and foremost is the azalea which gave the meaning of passion and fragility. Having it first lined up in the video actually was a great idea to open the idea of a blossoming love between two people. And the idea of a blossoming love was indeed fragile to hurt, to temptations and to other feelings that humans may feel. Fragility may also refer to the delicateness of nature. One could really feel the passion just being around these beautiful flowers. And indeed the scenery sends out inspirations to each and everyone who may be able to visit this place.

The next one would be the Persimmon Tree which is a beautiful resting place. The cool and peaceful ambiance of what the tree gives off, justifies that it is indeed a beautiful resting place. And it can actually also be referred to the comfort that the two lovers may actually find from one another; a calm resting place in each other's arms without worries but just love.

I never imagined that the green tea would mean memories, but thinking back on how green tea leaves give that sense of calmness and purity, well it can mean memories, since meditation actually let us think back on what has happened to our lives. And as to love, well, at a point in time, we create our own memories with that special person that we dearly hold. This green scenery allows us to calm down and think even for just a second.

I think this is one of my most favorite part of the video: the Cole Flower. The bright colors of this flower lived up to its meaning. Also, it was a cute way to show how this can be related to love, for in love, one feels that a person can be happy with the special person he or she has. And the joy of finding love is definitely unique, heart-warming and inspiring.

Well, this is one of my favorite flowers, the cherry blossom. It did really also lived up to its meaning of pure beauty. In real love, purity of intentions is always present. And one can see the pure beauty of character of the one he loves if he/she gets to know more him/her completely.

Korea in this matter showcases the pure beauty of what nature could give us, and how we should appreciate and take care of it.

Now, this is the exciting part of the story, Tulip which meant the declaration of love. We do know that in the cycle of love, one way or the other, we will always encounter this one. This will give us that jittery feeling and that statement which they call "butterflies in our stomach" most especially when a person declares to us what he/she really feels.

In between of the tulip and green barley scenes, I just love how the declaration of the girl and boy was done. It was done through a piggyback ride which I believe has a special meaning to every couple in that country [got this from watching Kdramas]. Aslo the meaning of the green barley of flourish was for me a meaning of endless and continuing love a person to his love interest. Indeed the scenery was just too lovely, and is a perfect scenery for a perfect ending.

And in conclusion....

Each flower has its meaning, and although this clip/skit only showed a few flowers, well, they picked out the ones that would perfectly fit well in telling the entire story. Aside from which, this video is also educational in terms of finding the nicest places that one should go in Korea if he/she wants to experience the true beauty of country and the experience of love with nature.
